The SHELTER Advisory Board provides input and feedback to our research team and includes experience in environmental research, community environmental organizations, public health, human subjects’ protection, and bioethics.

Andrew Beck, MD, MPH is a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and Director of Population Health Research and Innovation at Cincinnati Children’s.

Mae-Gilene Begay is an elected official and a CHW/Social worker with the Navajo Nation.

Larry Brooks, MPA, is Former Director, Alameda County Healthy Homes Department and Lead Poisoning Prevention Program.

Mildred Cho, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics Division of Medical Genetics and in the Department of Medicine at Stanford University.

Michelle Del Rio, PhD, MPH is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health at the School of Public Health in Indiana University in Bloomington.

Kim Foreman is CEO of Environmental Health Watch in Cleveland, whose vision is a future where all children, families, and individuals are living in healthy homes and sustainable communities.
