Meals on Wheels - (585) 787-8397

To our meal recipients: Please wear a mask during meal delivery. Masking is an important step to reduce the risk of exposure to COVID. Our volunteers have been wearing masks since the start of the COVID pandemic and we are now asking our recipients to do the same. Please help us to keep everyone safe during meal delivery.

Nutritious Meals

Our recipes and menus are designed by a registered dietitian. Meals are lower in sodium and fat than many commercially prepared options and each meal provides one-third of the daily dietary reference intake of nutrients. We also offer no concentrated sweets, low lactose, ground, and kosher options.

Friendly Visits

Meals are delivered by screened, compassionate, and caring volunteers who are always ready with a pleasant greeting and a warm smile.

Safety Checks

Volunteers notify office staff if a participant doesn’t come to the door to accept a meal or if something seems amiss. Office staff, in turn, will notify a participant’s emergency contact – a local family member, friend, or neighbor – of the situation. Gives peace of mind to loved ones who can't always be there.
