Mechanistic discovery and therapeutic development for genetic neuromuscular and neurometabolic condition
Research Staff

My research focuses on the epigenetic mechanisms underlying DM1. I investigate how CTG repeat expansions influence DNA methylation and chromatin organization at the DMPK locus.

My research focuses on anticodon-edited tRNAs (ACE-tRNAs) for use in nonsense-mediated Duchenne muscular dystrophy using patient-derived cells and mice.

I am studying the molecular basis of Myotonic dystrophy type 1, which is characterized by CTG repeat expansions. My current goal is to enrich this expanded DNA through the development of a targeted capture protocol for single molecule long-read sequencing.
