Collaborations

The MAPL is a study site for several collaborations including trials funded by the NIH StrokeNet

Validation of Early Prognostic Data for Recovery Outcome after Stroke for Future, Higher Yield Trials (VERIFY)

The objective of this multi-site biomarker validation study is to validate TMS and MRI as the most biologically relevant biomarkers of 90-day Upper Extremity (UE) motor outcomes after ischemic stroke. The central hypothesis is that patients have different UE outcomes depending on Central Motor System function measured with TMS, and on corticospinal tract (CST) injury measured with MRI.

Stroke, sTress, RehabilitatiON, Genetics (STRONG) Study

The objective of this multicenter, prospective observation study is to determine how genetic polymorphisms interact with stress and rehabilitation therapy to affect treatment-induced recovery after stroke.
