Outpatient Psychiatric Consultation Service

psychiatrist talking with patient about medication

The UR Medicine Strong Minds Adult Outpatient Services offers outpatient psychiatric consultations to primary care providers and current prescribing providers to help them manage the use of medications used to treat mental health disorders in adult patients.  Referring providers must be willing to continue to prescribe medications and obtain collateral information for the patient for whom the consultation is requested to utilize this service, as consulting psychiatrists through this program do not prescribe medications or offer medication management services.

Provider Referrals

Providers are encouraged to refer patients with mood disorders, which is a primary focus of the clinic. Psychological testing and diagnostic evaluations for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) are not performed through this service.

For information on how to make a referral, please call (585) 275-3505
