Phlebotomy Certification Class

UR Medicine Labs is pleased to offer a Phlebotomy Certification Course. This program leads to National Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician with the National Healthcareer Association.

Course Structure & Details

Part 1: Classroom Instruction

  • 13 in-person lectures designed to prepare students for success on the NHA certification exam
  • Each lecture is 2.5–3 hours
  • Schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, starting at 9 a.m.

Please note: Public transportation is not available to this location.

Part 2: Hands-On Clinical Training

  • Focused venipuncture skills training
  • Students must complete 30 successful venipunctures to meet certification requirements
  • Family members and friends are encouraged to participate as volunteer "patients"
