Strong Memorial Hospital provides financial assistance to patients receiving emergency and/or medically necessary care who qualify for assistance pursuant to our Financial Assistance Policy (Política Española).
Financial assistance is available to the insured and uninsured based on income and personal circumstances. For more details, please see our Financial Assistance Summary (Resumen en Español).
Assistance is also available by visiting our Financial Assistance Officer at Strong Memorial Hospital’s Care Management Office, Room 1-2315, Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
You can pay your hospital bill in person at the Cashier’s Office located on the first floor of Strong Memorial Hospital across from the Director’s Office and the Care Management Office. The Cashier’s Office is available at (585) 275-4681, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
New York State residents (citizens and aliens) who need emergency services may receive care and get a discount if they meet the financial requirements and complete the financial assistance application process. Individuals who reside in the hospital's primary service area (Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne and Yates counties) may get a discount on non-emergency, medically necessary services, if they meet the financial requirements and complete the financial assistance application process. Requests for discounts by non-residents are considered on a case by case basis. For non-emergency services, they generally must be approved in advance.
