About Me
I have been caring for patients and families in the Rochester area since 2004. I relocated to the Rochester area to pursue my midwifery career. Initially working at Anthony Jordan Health Center and then joining the URMC Midwifery Group in 2007. I am a Western New York native, born and raised in Buffalo and my extended family is still there (which is fortunate because I still get to indulge in all of the amazing Buffalo has to offer!). I practice regularly as a nurse midwife on the birth center at Strong where I have an opportunity to share my midwifery experience working with the resident interns. I also work full-time teaching maternity class and clinical through SUNY Brockport's undergraduate and accelerated nursing programs.
I have the best of both worlds helping to raise future nurses and welcome sweet little ones into the world!! Outside of practicing and teaching, I am navigating busy mom life with my son and daughter who are involved with dance, hockey and baseball to name a few things. When I am able to unwind, I enjoy cooking, gardening, reading, music and enjoying time with family and friends.
I am so proud of my profession and what we offer as nurse-midwives. It is truly an incredibly meaningful and rewarding career. I am so fortunate to be able to share this love with patients, future physician colleagues and my students."
