Professional Background

Dr. Jaclyn Burch is an Assistant Professor of Neurology in the Neurohospitalist Division and Director of the Inpatient Neurology Floors, and who has a special interest in the area of stroke and cerebrovascular disease.

Dr. Jaclyn Burch is an Assistant Professor of Neurology in the Neurohospitalist Division and Director of the Inpatient Neurology Floors, and who has a special interest in the area of stroke and cerebrovascular disease.

Dr. Burch completed fellowship training in Vascular Neurology at the University of Rochester. Prior to this, she completed residency in Neurology at the New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center where she served as chief resident in her final year. She was awarded the first annual John J. Caronna award for excellence in clinical neurology upon graduating. Before this, she attended medical school at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and awarded the Glasgow-Rubin Achievement award, awarded to the medical student graduating first in her class. She completed her undergraduate studies at Colgate University, graduating summa cum laude with high honors in behavioral neuroscience and where she also served as captain of her NCAA division I soccer team. She grew up in Hilton, just outside of Rochester, NY.
