She was nice enough. Perhaps overworked, and was fighting a cold (she had taken the proper precautions). But she decided to address my pregnancy weight gain, assuming I hadn't discussed it with my regular provider, because it wasn't in her notes. [...] And ignored me when I told her that I already watch what I eat and exercise. I can't really do much more than than in my 3rd trimester. If the small chance my weight effects the baby's size, it would have been the weight I gained in my first trimester, definitely not the third. Plus large baby size is more likely due to genetics, or gestational/type 1 or 2 diabetes (of which I have none). Then she proceeded to tell me I really needed to have the 36 week ultrasound to make sure I don't end up having shoulder dystocia [...]. I really hope she was just having a bad day and doesn't normally scare the heck out of all of her pregnant patients.
