About Me

Emily Fitzgerald, MD, earned her medical degree from Tufts University. She completed both her Emergency Medicine residency and her Internal Medicine-Based Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at the University of Rochester. She is currently working as a dual-appointed, academic-track faculty member in...
Emily Fitzgerald, MD, earned her medical degree from Tufts University. She completed both her Emergency Medicine residency and her Internal Medicine-Based Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at the University of Rochester. She is currently working as a dual-appointed, academic-track faculty member in both the Department of Emergency Medicine and the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine within the Department of Internal Medicine. She attends in both the Emergency Department and the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Strong Memorial Hospital. She additionally is a member of the Division of Prehospital medicine and serves as the assistant medical director of Mercy Flight Central, an aeromedical critical care transport agency. Her academic interests focus on optimizing critical care delivery across the continuum of care from the prehospital setting to the emergency department and through to the intensive care unit.
