It was difficult to hear what she was saying as she was turned away from me facing computer screen when she spoke. I felt some of my responses to her question weren't acceptable in some way. When I read the visit summary sheet with reading and viewing assignments, I was surprised as little was said about that information during our conversation.

Dr. Hanna has a no-nonsense style when it comes to healthcare. She is strict in her approach to treatment and recommendations but gives sound reasons for doing so. However, she does leave some wiggle room, e.g., although she recommended no caffeine, she compromised and allowed me one 8 ounces of coffee daily. Dr. Hanna has a warmness about her that puts you at ease. She is friendly and easy to communicate with.

We got on the subject of food during my visit. She said I should consider a more vagan style diet, BUT, never gave me a meal plan or menu to detail what she was suggesting. If a provider suggests a change in diet, they should provide a meal plan or diet in detail to back up what they are saying, if my health is important, right? [...]

Dr. Hannah does not keep looking at her watch...so many doctors..you can tell...are on an assembly line. My [...] daughter died last year, and she remembered and spoke a few minutes with me about this! She takes care of the whole person and believed in me prior to gastric bypass when other doctors had "dismissed" me..it was an endocrine problem as she suspected. Dr. Velarde picked the right doctor for me when she went to Florida. [...]
