Xiuli Sun, D.M.D., M.S., D.Sc.

Dr. Xiuli (Shirley) Sun has nine years of experience in practicing General Dentistry. She is passionate to help patients to achieve their best oral heath. Dr. Sun holds the belief that she wants to treat patients as she wants to be treated. She practices dentistry with gentle hands, great patience and a serving heart. Dr. Sun holds high standards in practicing dentistry, and takes pride in her work.

Dr. Sun graduated from Norman Bethune University of Medical Sciences (now Jilin University College of Dentistry) in China in 1997. She practiced General Dentistry in China for three and half years before she came to USA in 2001. During 2001 to 2008, Dr. Sun got Master in Science and Doctor in Science degrees from Ohio University and Boston University, separately. Extensive scientific research experience has helped Dr. Sun to understand dentistry in more depth and apply critical thinking in practice. With two years of clinical training in Advanced Education General Dentistry at Eastman Institute for Oral Health and one year residency in General Practice at Strong Memorial Hospital, Dr. Sun gained more experience in different aspects of dentistry. She is now a certified and registered general dentist in New York State. To better serve patients, Dr. Sun is committed to lifelong leaning. She regularly attends continuing education courses, and keeps updated in dentistry.

Dr. Sun is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese. She resides in Town of Brighton with her husband and two teenage sons. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, growing vegetables, and most importantly serves in her church.
