Empowering the Participant Voice

Continually looking for ways to improve research participant experience is a priority for the University of Rochester. However, Individual researchers can lack the tools, technology, and time to collect usable participant feedback. The University of Rochester is participating in a project called "Empowering the Participant Voice" funded by the National Institutes of Health through a grant awarded to Rockefeller University. In collaboration with other research Universities involved in this project, we have created a survey to collect feedback from research participants across the University. The survey is sent to participants after they join a research study and again when they have completed it.

We recognize there are many groups that may be able to act on the feedback that we collect: research teams, medical center departments, and ethics boards to name a few. We will be communicating findings with those groups in a variety of ways as well as sharing the results of the survey on this website. We welcome those interested in the results from the wider community to download the survey results from this website as well. Results will be updated annually.

If you have any questions about this project or the results, please email research_help@urmc.rochester.edu or call the Research Help Desk at (585) 275-2107.
