On September 26, 2016, Jamie Dauphinet received a call that every wife dreads. Her husband suffered a brain aneurysm and was on his way to the hospital.

Bill Arena was speaking with his wife when he stopped in mid-sentence. His wife noticed “a dead look” in his eyes, and she screamed to her daughter to call 911. Bill was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, where a clot the size of a quarter was removed from a blood vessel in his brain. Bill recovered quickly and is now working on his horse farm again.

Keith Nikoloff

Keith Nickoloff suffered a stroke at a get-together with co-workers. He was rushed to Strong Memorial Hospital, where an endovascular procedure was used to remove a clot from his brain. Keith has now returned to his job as President and Chief Customer Officer at Pharos.

Luz Holland

Luz Holland

Luz Holland was raking leaves when she felt a terrible pain in her head. Her nephew called 911 and she was rushed to Strong, where an endovascular therapy was used to repair two ruptured aneurysms in her brain. Luz is back to cooking and caring for her family and has now witnessed the birth of her first grandchild.
