Run, Walk, or Pledge to Support Transplant Patients on April 12

This is the 14th year where runners, walkers, and supporters come out to celebrate transplant recipients and organ donors at the River Run/Walk 5K in Genesee Valley Park.

The annual event, sponsored by the Friends of Strong Memorial Hospital and the hospital’s transplant units, benefits transplant patients who are awaiting or recovering from organ transplant surgery. Donations and other proceeds help them pay for expenses associated with lifelong care, such as life-saving medications and travel expenses.
