University of Rochester Medicine is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
The mission of the University of Rochester Medicine Accredited Provider is to support the professional development of nurses and other healthcare professionals by providing evidence-based, outcomes-driven educational activities designed to improve professional practice by impacting knowledge, skill, and/or practice.
Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD) Continuing Nursing Education (CNE)
When ANCC CNE credit is awarded by University of Rochester Medicine Accredited Provider, ANCC criteria and Policy 8.21 are followed, the educational activities are effectively planned, implemented, and evaluated according to educational standards and adult learning principles. Activities are designed to improve the knowledge, skills, practice, and/or patient/system outcomes of registered nurses and healthcare professionals.
