Advancement and Position Annual Contact Hours Requirements

It is essential to note that the Free Contact hours is a list of 'learner directed' offerings on the intranet site which details those educational offerings available for anyone to participate.

Several contact hour classes are also offered at the department, service and unit level throughout the year.

Educational offerings which required attendance at the class and are currently open on MyPath for evaluation by those who attended the class are only available for those who met the attendance requirement. Please do not attempt to evaluate a class that you did not attend.

Please Note: This is a requirement at each career pathway level, which will be part of the evaluation process.

Contact Hour Equivalencies

  • 1 CEU = 10 contact hours
  • 1 contact hour = 0.1 CEU
  • 1 contact hour = 60 minutes
  • 1 academic semester credit = 15 contact hours
  • 1 academic quarter credit = 12.5 contact hours
  • 1 CME = 60 minutes or 1.0 contact hours
  • 1 AMA credit = 1.0 contact hours or 60 minutes
