Strengthening existing relationships and activating new partnerships between the university, local coalitions and community based organization are our goals. With a focus on prevention and the promotion of healthy lifestyles, we are working to change the conditions and environments in which people live, work, learn and play.

Guiding and supporting our efforts is our Community Advisory Council, which was created in 2006 to represent the voice of the community as we work alongside our partners to make Rochester healthier.
The Spring 2016 Clinical and Translational Science Institute Seminar Series included the March 22 lecture focused on Community and Collaboration, and featured our Past Director of Community Health Partnerships, Gail Newton, along with Katia Noyes, PhD, MPH, URMC Professor, Dept. Of Surgery.
