Susan Gasparino, MD, MPH, DABOM

Gasparino HeadshotSusan Gasparino, MD, MPH, DABOM, is the medical director of the Center's Clinical and Community-Based Programs. She first joined our team in 2023 as the director of Child and Adolescent Programming. Dr. Gasparino is a general pediatrician at UR Medicine's Golisano Children's Hospital and is passionate about partnering with children and their families to find practical opportunities to increase physical activity and supporting lifestyle choices which help to prevent disease. As of December 2025, Dr. Gasparino is an American Board of Obesity Medicine Diplomate. This certification signifies her specialized knowledge in the practice of obesity medicine and her competency in obesity care.

Dr. Gasparino is also an assistant professor of Pediatrics, with a secondary appointment in the Department of Public Health Sciences. She is a faculty member at The Hoekelman Center for Health Beyond Medicine.
