Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism
The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at the University of Rochester has strong inpatient and outpatient clinical programs, serving as a major tertiary referral center for Western New York and surrounding areas. Our physicians are among the most highly trained in the regions, with national reputations as leaders in clinical Endocrinology.
Our outpatient clinics see over 28,000 patients per year, and our providers see the entire spectrum of endocrine disorders.
In addition to our outpatient activities, we have a busy inpatient consultation service that, in addition to treating diabetes and other endocrine disorders, includes assisting in the treatment of cardiac, renal, liver, and pancreas transplant patients who are admitted to Strong Memorial Hospital.

What Sets Us Apart?
Our nationally recognized providers are writing the endocrine literature and textbooks, and are able to offer the latest, most advanced treatments to our patients.
Because we are an academic medical center, several of our providers are also involved in research, contributing to a broader understanding of the role hormones play in diseases such as diabetes, polycystic ovary syndrome, and lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM). Our LAM clinic is the only one of its kind in the Western New York region.
