Objectives

The Office of Curriculum and Assessment (OCA) is located in the Offices for Medical Education in the School of Medicine and Dentistry. The Office’s primary roles are:

  • Facilitate implementation and innovation in the curriculum for the MD degree;
  • Evaluate the MD program curriculum; and
  • Conduct assessment and research on the impact of curricular change.

The Office of Curriculum and Assessment is led by the medical school’s Director of Assessment and it operations are facilitated by its administrator. The Office of Curriculum and Assessment, through its director, reports directly to the Senior Associate Dean for Undergraduate Medical Education.
