Commitment to Scholarly Excellence
Our Medical Physics Residency Program is committed to fostering a culture of scientific inquiry and scholarly achievement. While our two-year program is designed to provide comprehensive clinical training without a dedicated research rotation, we strongly encourage and support all residents in pursuing research activities throughout their training period.
Research Philosophy and Support
We believe that research experience is integral to developing well-rounded medical physicists who can contribute to the advancement of the field. Our program highly recommends that residents engage in meaningful research projects that enhance their clinical training and prepare them to become future leaders in medical physics.
The faculty actively mentor residents in identifying research opportunities, developing study protocols, analyzing data, and preparing manuscripts for publication. We encourage residents to:
- Participate in clinical and translational research projects
- Present their work at national and international conferences
- Publish peer-reviewed papers in high-impact journals
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across various clinical departments
