Education

Our education programs are designed to prepare graduates for careers in public health, toxicology, epidemiology, clinical and health services research. These programs take advantage of the unique setting within a leading School of Medicine in New York State and provide ample opportunity for intensive, advanced training including cutting-edge research methods and theoretical and practice-based learning. Our department is the home to three PhD programs, four Master of Science and Master of Public Health programs, five Advanced Certificate programs, and a Preventive Medicine Residency Program. Department faculty also teach in the undergraduate Public Health Program, including the 4+1 Accelerated Program in Public Health, in which students can obtain an undergraduate and MS degree in four or five years.
