We Request That All Visitors Check In at the Reception Desk 

Highland has open and flexible visiting guidelines. We recognize that family members and friends provide important emotional support to patients, and are valued partners in our care team. We will work with you to come up with a visitation plan that best meets your needs and the needs of our patients.

For the safety and privacy of all patients, we request that adult patients in the Emergency Department receive one visitor at a time, and pediatric patients receive no more than two visitors at a time. We ask that children under the age of 12 be under the direct supervision of a responsible adult.

There may be times when we need to temporarily limit visitation, and when these situations occur, we will fully inform patients and their loved ones.

Any limits placed on visitation are based on the patient’s medical condition and the condition of any other patients in the area.  Any limitations will be fully explained to all family, support partners and visitors.
