Providing the Highest Quality Care Around the Clock

One of the developments in caring for patients while they are hospitalized is the role of the Hospitalist Physician. As medical professionals who specialize in the care of hospitalized patients, Hospitalist Physicians work as partners with primary care doctors and specialists to provide the highest standard of patient care during a hospital stay.

Highland Hospital was one of the first health care facilities in the Rochester area to establish a hospitalist program, with very positive results. At Highland, our Hospitalist Physicians are committed to ensuring that patients receive the best possible, most efficient medical care during the entirety of their hospital stay. Our Hospitalist Program includes a complete team of health care professionals who are specifically trained to monitor and treat patients. These doctors, nurses and staff members are on site around the clock to ensure the most comprehensive, evidence-based clinical care. Nocturnists are night hospitalists who are in the hospital from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.

The benefits of our Hospitalist Program at Highland are many. In addition to receiving well-organized, seamless and up-to-the-minute care, patients can count on our Hospitalist Physicians, who are board-certified in internal medicine, to be highly skilled. Highland Hospital is also proud to have the most geriatrician hospitalist's in our community to meet the needs of older adult patients while they are hospitalized.
