Bryanna Moore and Trisha Paul will be presenting at the Pediatric Academic Society Meeting coming up on April 26th in Boston, MA

Bryanna will be co-chair for the APA Special Interest Groups focusing on Ethics, titled “Defining Professionalism in Pediatric Practice.” Trisha will be part of a workshop entitled “Finding Connection through Reflective Practice: Tools for Weaving Narrative Medicine into the Workplace.” 

Alex Parry and Christy Slobogin hosted a two-day virtual workshop on goals, methods, ethics, and outreach of injury studies

In collaboration with colleagues from the Injury Studies Network, the event had about forty total participants and laid the groundwork for new projects, including a potential injury studies blog. Stay tuned!

Trisha Paul joined the WXXI Connections Talk Show program

March 25, 2026, episode of Connections with Evan Dawson focuses on The Healer’s Journey, a documentary about University of Rochester medical students and the emotional realities of becoming a doctor. The conversation features local clinicians and explores how stress and burnout shape the medical profession. Trisha Paul has an essay published in the book Where It Hurts: Dispatches from the Emotional Frontlines of MedicineShe has been one of the Field Notes editors of Intima: A Journal of Narrative Medicine for the past 8 years, on which this anthology is based. Jon Herington participated in a roundtable with three other principal investigators of TEAMuP

This discussion addressed questions surrounding AI and music and the future of AI as a “creative co-worker.” Watch the discussion here.

Lainie Ross gave the Norman Fost Lecture on Skepticism and Critical Thinking for the University of Wisconsin at Madison, Department of Pediatrics, Grand Rounds

The title of the talk was “The Promise and Perils of Newborn Sequencing.”
