About Medical Legal Partnership
Medical Legal Partnership is a health care delivery model that embeds lawyers into the health care team. Embedded legal staff (attorneys and a paralegal) assist patients in addresses health-harming legal needs (HHLNs) such as barriers in housing, income maintenance, education and employment, legal status, and personal and family stability.
Patients and their families may be eligible for free legal services from Finger Lakes Legal Care (FLLC). FLLC lawyers are here to help you and keep legal problems from hurting your health.

Note: We respect your privacy. Each patient gives written consent to be connected with legal support, and we only share information between the MLP and the medical team if relevant to the case until the case is closed.
Urgent Referrals

An urgent referral includes any need that has a deadline such as benefits, requesting a hearing, an imminent court date, a pending eviction, a letter from a landlord saying they are starting the eviction process or a patient who is unable to access prescription medication. If you encounter any of these situations, refer a patient right away.

Medical Legal Partnerships in the Network provide services to vulnerable patients in over 442 health care organizations in 48 states.
