I worked with my first Midwife at St. Mary's hospital several years ago. I found that the midwifery model of care was extraordinary and one of a kind. It was that experience and the reputation of Beth Cooper that sparked my interest in becoming a midwife. I received my B.S.N. from Roberts Wesleyan in 2000 and my M.S.N. from SUNY Stony Brook in 2002. I worked Labor & Delivery for 7+ years when I decided midwifery was for me. I enjoyed the mother/baby experience and wanted to contribute further to bettering that experience for women and the adolescents. In my spare time, I love to cook and bake. I enjoy spending time with the children of my children!

This was easily the best doctors appointment I've had of any type. Dr. Pisaro Was so caring and made me feel relaxed about my physical pain and struggles due to my health conditions. It was my first Pap Smear and I struggled a lot, Dr. Pisaro hugged me when I cried and told me it would all be okay and I was done for 3 years. She made me feel supported and calm. My partner joined me at the appointment for support and she also thought Dr. Pisaro was amazing and kind. I would recommend this office to anyone

I will NEVER see Melinda again. I would probably even leave the hospital if she is the on-call provider when I deliver. I had one question which she brushed off, and basically said she would ask other people. Then messaged me within 30 minutes, which makes me think she didn't ask anyone, or she put other patients further behind. [..] I felt that she didn't try to educate me beyond what I knew and when my alternative offer was given she jumped at it without really helping me way the risks.

This provider stayed in the room for less than 5 min. She did not ask if I had questions and I had to stop her multiple times from walking towards the door so I could ask questions. She was friendly but I felt she was dismissive and didn't listen to my questions

I felt very cared for, listened to, and supported. Switched from a different OB office and Melinda was 100x better than my previous experiences with OB Providers, who weren't terrible, just more like a C+ experience. Melinda was A++ and I feel so much better about my OB care for the future with this group.
