Ms. Maier came to University of Rochester in 2009, to complete her Clinical Fellowship in Speech-Language Pathology after completing her Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and her Masters of Arts degree in Speech Language Pathology from the State University of New York at Geneseo.

Ms. Maier’s areas of interest include the treatment cognitive, speech, language and swallowing disorders in additional to voice / upper airway disorders. She is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) and is part of the Integrative Cognitive Rehabilitation Program (ICRP) which is an interdisciplinary team comprised of occupational therapy, neuropsychology and speech-language pathology focused on treating individuals with cognitive or language disorders related to neurological disease, cancer treatment, traumatic brain injury / concussion and other disorders. She has presented annually at the American Speech-Language Hearing Association’s National Conference with the ICRP Team since 2013, and as well as multiple presentations at the American Occupational Therapy Association’s national conference. Ms. Maier has published several journal articles as well as a chapter in the recently published book “Assistive Technology Assessment Handbook, 2nd Edition” in collaboration with the ICRP Team. She also published a chapter on Cerebrovascular Accident in conjunction with Dr. Todd Schneider for the book Neurologic and Neurodegenerative disease of the larynx.

Ms. Campeau came to the University of Rochester in 2001, to complete her Clinical Fellowship in Speech-Language Pathology after completing her Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at The College of Wooster and her Master of Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Nazareth College. Ms. Campeau spent many years treating inpatients and individuals in the acute rehabilitation program at Strong Memorial Hospital prior to transferring Clinton Crossings in 2015 to primarily treat outpatients.

Ms. Campeau’s areas of interest include the treatment of cognitive, speech, language and swallowing disorders. She has specific training and expertise in the treatment of adults and adolescents with concussion and traumatic brain injuries, and is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS). She is a part of the Integrative Cognitive Rehabilitation Program (ICRP) which is an interdisciplinary team comprised of occupational therapy, neuropsychology and speech-language pathology focused on treating individuals with cognitive or language disorders related to neurological disease, cancer treatment, traumatic brain injury / concussion and other disorders. Ms. Campeau recently co-authored a chapter in the “Assistive Technology Assessment Handbook, 2nd Edition” in collaboration with the ICRP Team, and has given multiple research presentations with the team, including at the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and American Occupational Therapy Association national conferences.

Heather Coles, MA, CCC-SLP

Heather Coles is a speech-language pathologist, who started at the University of Rochester Medical Center in 1996. Prior to that, Heather worked at University Hospital in London Ontario and also as the first speech language pathologist employed by the Hospital Board in Bermuda. Heather has held other positions including the Director of Rehabilitation in small community hospitals in the finger lakes region. Heather completed her Master of Arts at the State University of New York at Geneseo, in 1989. Heather directed the Neurogenic Communication and Cognition clinic at Nazareth College from 2015-2021 as clinical  associate professor in the communication sciences and disorders program where she continues as an adjunct faculty member.

Heather’s areas of interest and research include person centered care with individuals presenting with communication and cognitive concerns secondary to aphasia, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s disease and other neurogenic communication disorders. Heather’s approach to speech, language, cognitive and swallowing therapy is based in interprofessional team based practices. Heather has publications on the topics of aphasia, co-delivered music and language therapy and cognitive rehabilitation.

Lisa Restivo, OT/L

Lisa Restivo is an occupational therapist who started at the University of Rochester Medical Center in January of 2017. Prior to that, Lisa worked at Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital in Bath, New York, at both the inpatient and outpatient locations. Lisa graduated from Nazareth College with a Master’s of Science degree and as a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Lisa’s experience at URMC includes working on the inpatient rehabilitation unit at Strong Memorial Hospital, as well the acute care department, primarily in the Wilmot Cancer Center. Lisa started working with the Integrative Cognitive Rehabilitation Program team in the fall of 2019. Lisa’s interests and clinical specialties include providing a collaborative approach to person-centered cognitive and vision rehabilitation services, oncology, as well as stroke and neurological rehabilitation.

Nancy DukelowNancy Dukelow MS, OTR/L

Nancy is a Staff Occupational Therapist in Acute Care. She obtained her BS/MS from The Sage Colleges. Her specialty areas include Stroke Rehabilitation, Cognition, Visual-Perception, Oncology, and Neurological Rehabilitation.
