Educate the Providers
STAR-NY held its 8th Regional Stroke Management Symposium to educate healthcare providers in the region on March 14th 2019, at the Hyatt Regency, Rochester, NY.
Educate Stroke Survivors
STAR-NY understands the importance of engaging the community to ensure that symptoms of Stroke are recognized, and more patients are brought to the hospital to receive timely care. STAR-NY organized a special patient education session during its regional stroke management symposium at the Hyatt Regency, Rochester, NY.
STAR Invited Faculty: Keynote Speaker, Opeolu M. Adeoye, MD
The event was attended by over 420 patients and families and attended lectures and talks given by stroke survivors, mood, speech and rehabilitation specialists who care for stroke patients. The event was supported by the AHA/ASA's Rochester Chapter.
