UR Medicine / FF Thompson Hospital – Chief of Anesthesiology

University of Rochester (UR) Medicine seeks an anesthesiologist with an outstanding clinical skills and leadership aptitude as its Chief of Anesthesiology at FF Thompson Hospital, a regional hospital in Canandaigua, NY.  Dynamic leadership, clear communication, strong interpersonal skills, excellent clinical experience and strategic vision are crucial characteristics required.  Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, the Chief will be a key member of a busy clinical group of Anesthesiologists and CRNAs and will be responsible for continuing to build and maintain excellence in clinical care. 

FF Thompson Hospital is a 113 bed community hospital located in Canandaigua New York with 6 state-of-the-art operating rooms encompassing a variety of surgical services including robotics, Gyn, ENT, orthopedics, ophthalmology, urology, neurosurgery and general surgery. The birthing center sees over 650 deliveries annually.

Candidates must have an MD/DO and board certification in Anesthesiology consistent with eligibility for appointment as Associate or full Professor.  The ideal candidate will have the ability to foster a culture of collaboration and accountability across the Anesthesiology staff and hospital.
