Gender Affirming Surgery

What is it?

Gender-affirming surgery is defined as a group of surgeries that alters the face to increase its femininity or masculinity. Facial feminization surgeries are procedures where masculine characteristics are altered to make the face more feminine. The goal of the procedures is to provide an enhancement of major and more nuanced facial features that support the patient’s true gender.

How does it work?

Many of the following procedures are offered, sometimes in conjunction, to achieve the patient’s desired look: forehead contouring, scalp advancement, browlift, facelift, lip lift, jaw contouring, rhinoplasty, chondrolaryngoplasty, and more. Each consultation is tailored to the patient’s personalized needs.

Recovery?

In general, 1-2 weeks for most procedures. After the first week, you may gradually increase activity back to normal. This is sometimes less predictable as there may be multiple different procedures done in conjunction.
