Students In undergraduate Medical Education, the concept of integrating cutting-edge, evidenced-based medical science and the relationship-centered art of clinical medical practice is embodied in our "Double Helix Curriculum," which interweaves basic science and clinical work throughout all four years of medical school. For Students and Faculty, please visit the Medical Education Portal for all of your Medical School needs. This blend of the art and science of medicine also distinguishes our post-graduate medical education, where residents and fellows receive intensive, specialized training in virtually all medical and dental specialties and subspecialties. Graduate Education offers more than 25 master’s and Ph.D. degree programs that span the biomedical and health sciences. The School offers world-class faculty and research facilities as well as innumerable opportunities for students to collaborate across disciplines to produce innovative science and technology that improves health. Post-doctoral fellowships and traineeships are available in wide variety of research laboratories. This training is an important step toward a career in academia, industry or government, and the postdoctoral scholars make important contributions to the research mission of the Medical Center. The Office of Graduate Education and Postdoctoral Affairs oversees the policies for postdoctoral associates at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
