We’re delighted to share the very first edition of our community newsletter!

This newsletter is a way for us to stay connected, keep you informed about hospital news, and continue to keep the lines of communication open. It will have resources you may find useful. As your community hospital, we also want to make sure you know about the many health services available right here in the South Wedge neighborhood.

Replacement of Transformers

Highland Hospital will be replacing its two electrical transformers, which convert power into the appropriate voltage for hospital equipment and lighting throughout the campus. The existing transformers have reached the end of their service life and must be replaced to maintain reliable power and safety standards. The replacement process will occur in phases. 

Mandatory Testing of Generators

Hospitals are required to test generators annually. On Saturday, August 2, Highland will conduct required testing between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.  

Highland Medical Imaging will be replacing one of its two CT scanners

Highland Medical Imaging will be replacing one of its two CT scanners.  A mobile CT unit will be brought on site to support patient care during this time. The mobile unit will be located adjacent to the Emergency Department in the ambulance bay area. 

Highland Hospital Offers Weekend Parking During Lilac Festival

To help ease parking challenges during the Lilac Festival, Highland Hospital is pleased to offer access to its employee parking garage on festival weekends.
