Walk-in Services

  • Literature searches: Library staff will assist any user who would like to do an independent search in the library. We can suggest databases to search, help get the user started by demonstrating how to use databases and suggesting possible search terms, help the user to refine/revise the search, help print/save/email search results. (Similar services can be provided by scheduling a Housecall; the librarian will also do literature searches within two business days of the request.)
  • Finding other information: We'll also be happy to provide an overview of the resources available at WHSL or Miner Library and help users find information in any of our print or electronic resources, as well as obtain passwords for remote access.
  • Interlibrary Loan: Library staff will help users register in ILLiad and place requests.
