Technology Information

The Project ECHO model utilizes Zoom video-conferencing technology.

Minimum Technical Requirements

  • Voice-Only Connection: A telephone or speakerphone is required for voice connection.
  • Full Participation with Video: Internet access is required for video participation.
  • Individual Viewing: A computer with a webcam, microphone*, and speakers* or a tablet are required. URMC uses a Logitech C930E webcam/microphone combo.
  • Group Viewing: A computer, PTZ camera, microphone array*, and speakers* are required. URMC uses a 70" Samsung, Toshiba, or NEC television with built-in speakers, a Huddlecam HD10x, a computer with USB-3 ports, and a Shure MXA microphone array or MXLAC-404 USB microphone.

*A speakerphone can be used in place of a microphone and speakers.
