Join the Auxiliary

A vital part of the JMH family

The JMH Auxiliary Donated over $110,000 to Jones Memorital in 2015.Being an Auxilian is a great way to meet people and help your community. It is as much of a time commitment as you want to make it. If you want to just work once a month or have an idea for a worthwhile fundraiser or outreach suggestion, the Auxiliary is always looking for new ideas. Come and join us! To find out more, talk to any auxiliary member or contact the Auxiliary Membership Chair.

If you have ever thought about joining the Jones Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, now is the perfect time! The Auxiliary is looking for men and women who want to give some time to a great cause.

The Jones Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is a vital part of the Hospital family. Without their dedication, the Hospital could not do all that we do for the health of our community. But new members are needed.

The basic function of the Auxiliary is to serve the Hospital in any way needed. The Auxiliary does a lot of fundraising and many of the Auxilians are also volunteers. As volunteers, Auxilians may work in the gift shop, carry meals to patients, transport inpatients, and conduct student tours for local schoolchildren.

The only commitment involved in joining the Auxiliary is $5 in annual dues. How much time being a member involves is up to the individual. You can be a fulltime member and attend meetings or help work on one particular project.

In addition to new people, the Auxiliary is looking for new ideas on how to raise money for the hospital. In the past two years, the Auxiliary has donated over $100,000 to Jones Memorial, through its fundraising efforts, including:

  • The Gala & Silent Auction
  • The Vera Bradley Sale
  • The Jewelry Sale
  • The Uniform Sale
  • The Celebrate Summer Golf Tournament
  • Book Sales—used book sale and a Books Are Fun! sale
  • The Chicken Barbeque Dinner
  • The hospital gift shop needs volunteers to work it to keep it open, especially on the weekends.
