Dr. Paul Axtell is a graduate of Georgetown University School of Medicine and served his residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, He is licensed by the Medical Boards in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, and California. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and has been a practicing orthopaedic surgeon for over 20 years. A General Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr. Axtell is available for:total knee and hip replacement, knee and shoulder arthroscopy, surgical repair of fractures, and sport-related procedures.
Dr. Ali Mansour is a graduate of the American University of Beirut. His orthopaedic fellowship training included Hand Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh, Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery at the University of Louisville, Orthopaedic Pediatric Spine Surgery at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami, and Combined Spine Surgery at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada. He offers surgical and non-surgical treatment options for conditions including fractures, arthritis, carpal tunnel, trigger finger, and wrist injuries and instability. He will also treat shoulder injuries, as well as trauma to the hips and knees.

The SWING BED Program:
For inpatients who no longer need hospitalization, but are not physically ready to return home.
The Swing Bed program at JMH is an alternative to prolonged acute hospitalization or short term nursing facility placement, swing bed patients continue to receive skilled nursing and medical care as well as rehab services delivered by our highly-trained physical, occupational and speech therapists. Jones Memorial Hospital offers what is perhaps the most comprehensive rehabilitation program in rural healthcare. Our experienced, professional staff of therapists and technicians provide a range of rehabilitation services with proven results. We have helped thousands of patients recovering from injuries, surgery, stroke, illness, and other physical setbacks. The services available at JMH include physical therapy, occupational therapy, pediatric rehab, cardiac rehab, and pulmonary rehab. Most members of the PT team have Doctorate of Physical Therapy degrees. Our diverse group of PTs and PT Assistants have additional training in areas including vestibular rehab; mechanical diagnosis and treatment of the spine, wound care, and pediatrics.
