Physician Scientist Training Program

Welcome to the Physician-Scientist Training Program (PSTP) at the University of Rochester Medical Center! Our mission is to equip you for a successful and fulfilling career as a physician-scientist, making your training both enriching and rigorous. We believe that the best training combines intellectual challenge, personalized mentorship, and a supportive community that fosters curiosity, innovation, and resilience.

Our PSTP is dedicated to developing the next generation of leaders in academic medicine. It generally follows the policies and requirements of the American Board of Internal Medicine's Research Pathway. We welcome applicants interested in General Internal Medicine or any of the Medicine subspecialties. We provide access to accomplished, enthusiastic mentors across the full spectrum of scientific inquiry, from basic and translational science to clinical and population health research. We are committed to tailoring your training to your individual background, career goals, and research interests, ensuring that you gain the skills, experiences, and network needed to thrive.

As physician-scientists trained at the University of Rochester, we know firsthand how transformative the right scientific and clinical environment can be in shaping a career. We are excited to share our program with you and to help you take the next step in your journey. Please feel free to connect with us at Jennifer_anolik@urmc.rochester.edu and kahpoh_loh@urmc.rochester.edu.
