9.1 Conflicting Employee Relationships

Employees who work closely with a relative or closely related person needs a management plan in place. For SMD faculty, departments should complete a management plan - contact OAA for the SMD template.

9.2 Out-of-State Employment

• Requestor initiates the online request for a candidate on the Out of State (OOS) Website [insert link]
• Requestor selects the response on the second question that this will require review by faculty affairs.
• This will trigger two things to happen:
  • It will remove the required field at the end of the form where an approval pdf form needs to be attached
  • A copy of the request will route to the Faculty Affairs inbox

• When submitted, 
  • Vice Dean for Academic Affairs reviews and, if approved,
  • HR and legal counsel reviews and will provide final review for approval. If OAA does not approve the submission, they will select to reject the application and reach out directly to the requestor with more information on next steps
