Clinical Fellowship Program

The University of Rochester offers four clinical fellowship positions on a yearly basis. We are pleased to announce that we will be offering all four of these fellowship positions for 20232024.  Application deadlines and start dates for each position vary.  Fellowship positions are offered in the following specialty areas:

  • Acute Care at Strong Memorial Hospital
    • (Application deadline: February 28, 2022)
    • Start date: July 2023
  • Head & Neck Cancer at the Wilmot Cancer Center
    • (Application deadline: February 15, 2023)
    • Start date: September 2023
  • Acute Rehabilitation at Strong Memorial Hospital
    • (Application deadline: March 1st, 2023)
    • ​Start date:July 2023
  • The Voice & Swallowing Center at Clinton Woods
    • (Application deadline: February 1st, 2023)
    • Start date: September 2023

As announced with limited exceptions, the University is requiring all faculty and staff to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

Candidates who wish to apply for more than one position should send separate applications, as each position is chosen by a different selection committee.  Please tailor your application to the guidelines specified for the position.

Our Clinical Fellowship Program is intensive and a firm 12-month commitment is expected. Fellows may be required to work weekends and holidays, depending on a specialty area and coverage required.  Start dates vary based on the individual clinical fellowship position.  Each fellow will participate in a multidisciplinary team model using a patient centered approach. Fellows are expected to work closely with their fellowship supervisor to direct and self-reflect on their learning and skills throughout the process.
