Jones Memorial To Open Neuro Infusion Clinic July 1

Jones Memorial Hospital recently announced plans to open a new state of the art infusion center at 7509 Seneca Rd N in Hornell, NY in the St. James Plaza. The new clinic location will open for patients in July of 2024 through a partnership with JMH and the University of Rochester Medical Center. The clinic welcomes two new providers to the region – Dr. Carlos Sollero of the Neurology Department and Dr. Vanessa Browne of the Rheumatology Department.

Dr. Sollero completed his training at URMC and has worked closely with the UR Medicine Neuroimmunology clinicians. His clinical interests include Multiple Sclerosis, demyelinating diseases of the central nervous system, neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders, autoimmune encephalitides and neurosaroidosis.

Dr. Browne attended medical school at St. George’s University and completed a residency and fellowship in rheumatology at Rutgers University. She is a Golden Apple Award nominee for 2022. Dr. Browne specializes in several rheumatologic conditions, including systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis and dermatomyositis.

Dr. Sollero, along with Dr. Browne, will be supervising the infusion center and will be on-site as infusions are completed.

Dr. Brenda Mong-Szabo, VP of Specialty Services stated, “We are very fortunate to have Dr. Carlos V. Sollero and Dr. Vanessa Browne joining our neurology and rheumatology teams.” She went on to state, “This new location offers patients in the Southern Tier access to quality infusion care, close to home. Our patients will no longer need to travel long distances to Rochester or Buffalo to get the services they need.”
