Jones Memorial Auxiliary Hosts Annual Gala and Silent Auction
On November 9, the Jones Memorial Hospital Auxiliary hosted the annual Gala and Silent Auction at the Wellsville Country Club. The sold out event included music, dancing, hors deourves and a silent auction to benefit Jones Memorial.
The Royal Court sold a total of almost $14,000 in Grand Rraffle tickets! The winners of the Grand Raffle were Betsy Hale, Carol Gardner and Dr. Zahi Kassas.
The Royal Court winners for most tickets sold were:
1st Place: Lydia Kaye, junior at Wellsville High School and representing Mulberry Twig - daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Gregory & Lu-Ann Kaye
2nd Place: Addyson Clark, junior at Wellsville High school and representing Hemlock Twig, daughter of Elizabeth Huyler and Ryan Clark
3rd Place: Reece Winters, daughter of Shanna & Timothy Winters. Reece is a junior at Andover Central School and represented the Maple Twig.
“We wish to express our deepest gratitude to the auxiliary and volunteers for the countless hours of work they put in to make this event possible,” said Jim Helms, CEO. “We’re also extremely grateful to the community for the continuous support of the hospital through this event.”
The JMH Auxiliary Gala & Silent Auction is an annual fundraiser that helps to support the auxiliary and the hospital. The Auxiliary uses the proceeds from the event to assist Jones Memorial in the purchase of items and equipment used in patient care. Past purchases have included a bariatric table, a nursery monitor, mattresses, recliners, chairs, audiology equipment, a defibrillator, and an ultrasound machine for OB practice. The JMH Auxiliary is also a Cornerstone donor to the Transformation and Modernization capital project.

The Jones Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is a dynamic group of volunteers who work tirelessly on behalf of Jones Memorial Hospital. Organized into smaller TWIGS, members focus on supporting the hospital. The Auxiliary holds a number of successful fundraisers and promotes the hospital in the community. Often it is the Auxiliary and Volunteers who provide that “hometown touch” that is so important to a community hospital like ours.

The Auxiliary is looking for new members to help us support Jones Memorial Hospital’s mission. Our members can be found in many areas of the hospital from managing the gift shop to making sure patients get where they need to be. Outside of the hospital, they can be found organizing a number of successful fund-raising activities in the community.
