Lifespan Gerontology Certificate Program

in partnership with the Finger Lakes Geriatric Education Center (FLGEC)

Earn a certificate in gerontology through this virtual 80-hour course. This program consists of 32 classes (80 non-credit contact hours) in areas of gerontology taught by experts, and included continuing education credits for licensed NYS Social Workers. Take the whole course or just the ones that interest you. To receive the certificate, regular attendance and active participation is required.

Target Audience: Anyone interested in furthering a career or gaining knowledge about longevity and aging

Dates: Wednesdays, 4:00 - 6:30pm EST (beginning September 18, 2024)

Cost:

  • Full price: $1099/person (can pay by semester; only $899 before 8/16)
  • Lifespan Volunteer: $499/person (only $399 before 8/16)
  • 65+ retiree and/or family care partner: $599 (only $499 before 8/16)
  • Employer rate: If paid by employer, save $100 for each additional staff person
  • You may also take specific Units and pay by the number of classes within each Unit (classes are $40 each)
  • Early bird rates are available through August 16th
