Lifespan Gerontology Certificate Program

in partnership with the Finger Lakes Geriatric Education Center (FLGEC)

Earn a certificate in gerontology through this virtual 80-hour course. This program consists of 32 classes (80 noncredit contact hours) in areas of gerontology taught by experts. Take the whole course or just the ones that interest you. To receive the certificate, regular attendance and active participation is required.

Target Audience: Anyone interested in furthering a career or gaining knowledge about longevity and aging.

Dates: Wednesdays, 4:00 - 6:30pm EST (beginning September 14)

Cost:

  • Full price: $1199/person (can pay by semester)
  • Lifespan volunteer OR any retiree 60 and older: $599/person
  • Employer rate: If paid by employer, save $100 for each additional staff person.
  • You may also take specific Units and pay by the number of classes within each Unit. (Classes are $40 each.)
     

Continuing Education Credits - Social Work

Lifespan of Greater Rochester is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers # SW-0089.
