David Korones

Dr. Korones received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University, and completed his pediatric residency at the University of Rochester. He went on to do an Academic General Pediatric Fellowship at Yale University, and a fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the University of Rochester. He is board certified in Pediatrics, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, and Palliative Medicine. He currently directs the Pediatric Brain Tumor Program and the Pediatric Palliative Care Program at Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong.

Dr. Korones’ clinical focus is children with brain tumors. He also cares for adults with primary brain tumors. His research interests include conducting clinical trials for children and adults with brain tumors, and improving the quality of life for patients struggling with this illness.
