Pelvic Health and Continence Specialties
Though often not discussed, pelvic floor problems are very common. Nearly one in four women will experience urinary incontinence, and one in 10 will have surgery for prolapse, where the uterus, vagina or rectum slips out of place These issues may cause serious discomfort and often a great deal of embarrassment, but there is a wide range of treatment options available.
Our physicians are Urogynecologists who combine two sub-specialties—Gynecology and Urology—into one. Our physicians specialize in the evaluation and treatment of female urinary or fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, painful bladder, interstitial cystitis, and recurrent urinary tract infections.
We are one of the few practices in the nation to unite multiple specialists in one location to better coordinate our patients’ care. We offer a full spectrum of custom-tailored treatment options including conservative medical and behavioral management and a wide array of surgical procedures. Our physicians are deeply involved in research to constantly learn more about reasons for pelvic health problems and to improve treatments of these conditions.
