Infusion is the actual transplant process in which the stem cells from bone marrow or blood are infused into the patient through a central (in the chest) intravenous catheter.

The infusion of stem cells is painless, although some side effects may occur, and most patients are awake, but they may have light sedation. Typically, the process lasts from 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the volume of cells.

During and after the infusion, our team monitors the patient for signs of any side effects from the treatment.
