Patient Care
The 3D Lab offers post-processing services for Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and MR Angiography. Post processing may include but is not limited to: 3D rendering of CT and MR images, image segmentation, multi-planar reformats, minimum and maximum intensity projections (MIP, MinIP) for the following clinical areas:
Research
The lab assists our faculty and residents with research projects, educational exhibits, publications, and lectures that involve imaging studies. We also perform advanced post-processing and analytic services for clinical trials.
Education
We provide technical expertise in the performance of a variety of post-processing applications and are involved in implementation and optimization of CT and MRI scanning protocols. The 3D Lab staff has direct physician interaction, reviewing and discussing post-processing work with radiologists and/or referring physician.
We provide structured training on acquisition protocols and 3D post-processing techniques to new CT Technologists and radiology residents.
