Noyes Auxiliary hits links to raise funds
Tuesday, July 24, 2012
On Monday, July 16, Far View Golf Course in Avon was the site of the Chip in Fore Noyes Golf Classic. The day was in the high 80s, with a light breeze which was much appreciated by the 125 golfers and volunteers in attendance.
The Men’s Division was won by UGI Energy Services; the Mixed Division by the Abrahams and Morschs; and the Women’s Division by The Manning & Napier Foundation.
Photos show two of the volunteers who were re-stocking coolers at the beverage stations on the course, folks going through the line for the pig roast after the tournament, and one of the winners of the Mixed Division accepting her prize.
The Chip in Fore Noyes Golf Classic is one of the largest fund-raising projects for Noyes Auxiliary. Noyes Auxiliary is a volunteer organization that provides financial and volunteer support to Noyes Hospital, communicates the hospital’s purpose and goals to the community, and promotes health career opportunities by providing scholarships to graduating high school students.
At the beginning of each year, the Auxiliary establishes financial goals. The largest goal for 2012 is to raise $50,000 for the purchase of cardiac monitoring equipment. This year is the second year of their pledge to raise $150,000 in total for the cardiac monitors.
The Chip in Fore Noyes Golf Classic raised $16,100 thanks to the support of many sponsors of the tournament. The Auxiliary would like to express their gratitude for their generosity.
